About The Position

This is a contract position based out of Warsaw, IN. The role involves setting up on-prem systems and building out infrastructure in a data center/farm, primarily using RHEL/Rocky Linux. The work is heavily command-line based, with approximately 99% of the tasks performed in a Bash terminal. The environment currently consists of under 50 physical servers, VMs, and AWS Instances. The company is looking for someone to take ownership of Ansible for automation and drive the development of playbooks. Additionally, the role requires managing and improving the existing Zabbix network monitoring system, which is currently incomplete. Experience with DNS/DHCP is necessary. While Proxmox is preferred for virtualization due to an existing cluster, strong experience with Hyper-V/VMware will also be considered. Startup experience is highly preferred due to the fast-paced and fluid nature of the environment. A blend of IT/OT experience, ideally with automotive production background (PLC's/industrial OT networking concepts), is desired. Understanding or experience with AWS instances is a plus but not a strict requirement.

Requirements

Proficiency in RHEL/Rocky Linux.
Hands-on experience with Bash terminal commands.

Experience with virtualization (Proxmox preferred, Hyper-V/VMware considered).

Responsibilities

Setup on-prem systems and build out infrastructure in a data center/farm using RHEL/Rocky Linux.
Perform racking, stacking, and cabling for infrastructure setup.
Utilize Bash terminal for approximately 99% of daily tasks.
Take the lead on Ansible for automation and playbook development.
Manage and improve the existing Zabbix network monitoring system.
Handle DNS/DHCP configurations.
Work with Proxmox for virtualization, or Hyper-V/VMware if Proxmox experience is lacking.
Adapt to a fast-paced, fluid startup environment.
Apply a blend of IT/OT experience, including automotive production concepts if applicable.
