These roles will focus on building secure, standardized Linux configurations and maintaining compliance across a hybrid cloud footprint. This work includes deploying hardened Linux images, enforcing STIG baselines, integrating identity and access controls, and ensuring visibility through centralized logging and endpoint protection. These roles will support both infrastructure services and user-facing Linux endpoints, with a strong emphasis on security and compliance aligned to CMMC requirements. This position is on-site in North Logan, UT, and requires close collaboration with cloud, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams.

  • Strong understanding of Linux authentication (PAM) and enterprise identity integration with MFA
  • Experience with EDR tools on Linux (Microsoft Defender preferred)
  • Experience configuring centralized logging (Rsyslog, SIEM integration such as Sentinel)
  • Experience managing patching and software distribution across multiple Linux systems
  • Familiarity with Azure, Azure Government, or hybrid cloud environments
  • Must be a U.S. citizen

  • Background supporting CMMC, NIST 800-53, or similar compliance frameworks
  • Experience in hybrid environments, integrating on-prem infrastructure with Azure
  • Prior experience supporting Linux endpoints in enterprise Azure GCC High environments
  • Hands-on experience implementing STIGs and validating compliance using SCAP

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain hardened Linux systems (RHEL/Ubuntu) across servers and endpoints in Azure Government and on-premises
  • Configure and enforce encryption at rest (LUKS) and in transit (TLS/PKI infrastructure)
  • Support secure email encryption integrations (S/MIME with Sectigo or equivalent)
  • Integrate Linux systems with enterprise identity systems (IDAM) with MFA in both online and offline scenarios
  • Configure and manage PAM policies for authentication and privileged access
  • Deploy and maintain EDR solutions (e.g., Microsoft Defender for Endpoint for Linux)
  • Implement centralized logging using Rsyslog and forward logs to Microsoft Sentinel
  • Manage patching, updates, and software lifecycle across Linux servers and endpoints
  • Establish and maintain secure connectivity between on-prem and Azure resources
  • Support audit readiness and continuous monitoring for compliance frameworks (CMMC)
  • Troubleshoot system, security, and integration issues across hybrid environments
