About The Position

North Point Technology is looking to hire a Linux Systems Engineer to support a mission-critical enterprise identity and access management environment. This role requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with the willingness and ability to obtain a CI Polygraph within the customer's timeline. The ideal candidate will combine strong Linux systems expertise with cloud and networking knowledge to sustain and improve a complex, multi-environment operational platform serving external organizations.

Requirements

Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with the willingness and ability to obtain a CI Polygraph within the customer's timeline.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) including S3, EC2, and Reserved Instances
Troubleshooting network-related issues at OSI model layers 4–7
Systems engineering documentation including network diagrams and data flow diagrams
Agile team collaboration tools including Jira, Confluence, and BitBucket
Linux system administration and infrastructure management best practices
CompTIA Security+ (current, required before start)
Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
U.S. citizenship required

Responsibilities

Provide Tier II support in resolving customer-facing issues.
Perform root cause analysis and mitigation for operational problems.
Communicate findings to development teams to establish effective feedback loops.
Act as a subject matter expert reviewing user metrics, system health, and overall performance, implementing proactive measures to ensure operational availability.
Develop scripts to automate operational tasks.
Leverage playbook-based automation.
Manage both COTS and GOTS software products across multiple environments.
Coordinate with Enterprise Services teams to maintain compliance with security requirements.
Interface with customers and external technical teams to diagnose and resolve access issues.
