About The Position

This role involves providing IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows, VMWare, and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment. The administrator will perform daily checks in multiple data centers, understand and apply knowledge of Windows Server internals and Linux fundamentals (including DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods), and work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment. The position requires using troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of moderate to high scope and complexity, including the integration of hardware operating systems (OS) and program-specific software. Experience with data backup uses and technologies is necessary, as is the ability to install and help configure software applications requested by end users. Collaboration with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements is essential. The role also includes providing documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures, and other tasks as assigned. Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours. Travel may be required as business needs dictate to other US Domestic locations, up to 10% per year. This is a full-time, 100% onsite position.

Requirements

  • Typically requires bachelor’s and minimum of 2 years of relevant prior experience.
  • Must be able to obtain a transferable U.S. government issued secret security clearance prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Must obtain an interim clearance before setting a start date.
  • Must have Linux experience.
  • Must have experience with Active Directory, VMware, Administration, backup and recovery.
  • Must have experience with performing functional system checks.
  • Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.
