Linux System Administrator
About The Position
Chenega Military, Intelligence & Operations Support (MIOS) is seeking a Linux System Administrator to join their team. This role involves supporting large-scale government operations by leveraging cutting-edge technology. Cyberstar, a part of Chenega MIOS, focuses on analyzing and boosting human and business performance through business process redesign and IT modernization, including data analytics and cloud computing. They offer solutions to improve business operations by synchronizing process innovation, human dynamics, analysis, and data technology capabilities for functional optimization. The Linux System Administrator will perform system administration for assigned operating systems, administer Windows Networks in an enterprise environment, and manage applicable Linux servers/devices. The Windows Network is primarily virtualized using VMware with Flash and Hybrid Storage Arrays, including services like DNS, DHCP, AD, and IIS.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Background check
Responsibilities
- Perform system administration for the operating systems for which they have responsibility.
- Administer Windows Network in an enterprise environment along with applicable Linux servers/devices.
- Track vulnerabilities and perform patching on Linux systems to be in compliance with requirements set forth by DOI/IA.
- Establish file storage shares/folders with the proper ACL permissions; new and migrated.
- Other duties as assigned.
