About The Position

Leidos is seeking a Linux System Administrator for its Test and Training Enabling Architecture (TENA) program. TENA develops tools for United States Department of Defense test and training communities to accelerate development cycles and deliver capabilities to warfighters more rapidly. The administrator will work with engineers, developers, and system administrators to add capabilities to enclaves and help ensure existing systems are secure and perform as intended. This position is required to work on-site at Leidos’s Alexandria, Virginia office and requires an active Secret clearance or higher.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance or higher.
• A bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of experience, or a master's degree with at least 2 years of experience; additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• At least 4 years of experience providing system administration to DoD IT systems.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level I compliance.

Nice To Haves

• At least 6 years of experience providing system administration to DoD IT systems.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level III compliance.

Responsibilities

• Support the installation and maintenance of Linux servers.
• Provide technical leadership for migrating on-premises infrastructure to a hybrid cloud solution.
• Troubleshoot issues from the operating-system level through the application level.
• Manage networking equipment, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Manage configuration and maintenance of core enclave infrastructure services, including DHCP, DNS, email, Apache Web Servers, Tomcat application servers, Atlassian applications, and MariaDB database servers.
• Configure and monitor security tools required for DoD networks.
• Participate in and contribute to design discussions about improving the capabilities, performance, and security posture of new and existing services.
