Role Description: Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and their components to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability. Conduct regular system monitoring to verify the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes. Administer Linux-based services, including Apache, NGINX, MySQL, and PostgreSQL. Implement and oversee backup and recovery solutions. Regularly apply OS patches/upgrades and update administrative tools and utilities. Carry out system upgrades and configurations as required. Monitor and evaluate system performance, providing statistics and reports. Keep operational, configuration, or other procedures up to date. Execute regular file archival and purging as needed. Manage and verify the effectiveness of security solutions, such as firewalls, anti-virus solutions, and intrusion detection systems. Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures Collaborate with network engineering, business application, and database administration teams to ensure the availability, reliability, and scalability of Linux systems to meet business needs. Document system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records. Address and resolve technical issues swiftly and efficiently. Plan and schedule the installation of new or modified virtual service deployments, operating systems, and application software. Manage accounts and network rights. Oversee system resources, including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability. Implement security procedures and tools. Develop and document systems administration standard operating procedures. Resolve significant hardware/software interface and interoperability issues. Ensure systems' availability, functionality, integrity, and efficiency, and maintain systems configuration. Manage the installation and integration of system fixes.
