About The Position

We are Quadcode, a fintech company excelling in financial brokerage activities and delivering advanced financial products to our global clientele. Our flagship product, an internal trading platform, is offered as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution to other brokers. We’re looking for a Linux Administrator to join our Ops team — a team working at the intersection of infrastructure and software development, supporting applications built with PHP and Go. The Ops team is responsible for keeping the infrastructure and services behind our products stable, secure and reliable in production. The team works across virtual machines, databases, CI/CD, monitoring, automation and internal platform services such as Thanos, Prometheus, Grafana, Ceph and profiling systems. Our infrastructure includes 2,000+ virtual machines and 500+ physical servers, supported by a strong team of experienced engineers. We work with Scrum, Agile and a data-driven approach, with two-week sprints and a strong focus on continuous improvement. The position is full-time remote, with a flexible start time — anytime before 12:00 pm EET/EEST. You won’t be focused on just maintaining servers or working with isolated infrastructure components. You’ll be part of the team responsible for the production environment behind products used by millions of users, working directly with development teams, helping them troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues and keep their services running reliably in production. It’s a good fit for an engineer who enjoys troubleshooting, automation and making infrastructure more reliable and scalable, rather than simply maintaining servers.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience administering Linux servers in production environments.
• Strong practical knowledge of Linux internals, networking, system services and troubleshooting.
• Experience administering PostgreSQL and/or Greenplum.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible for infrastructure automation.
• Good scripting skills with Python and/or Bash.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, particularly GitLab CI and/or Jenkins.
• Experience with monitoring, logging and system profiling, particularly Prometheus and Grafana.
• Fluent Russian (C2 or higher) for communication with the team.
• English B1+ for technical documentation and written communication.

Nice To Haves

• DBA experience, including hands-on administration of databases and data infrastructure.
• Experience with Patroni.
• Experience supporting high-load or distributed production systems.
• Experience with AWS and OpenStack.
• Experience with PCI DSS.
• Experience reading and/or writing code in PHP/Go.
• Experience with Chef.

Responsibilities

• Administer Linux servers (Ubuntu) across development and production environments.
• Administer PostgreSQL databases and Greenplum clusters, including performance and reliability troubleshooting.
• Administer and support KeyDB, ClickHouse and Kafka.
• Configure and maintain infrastructure services such as Nginx, Jenkins, GitLab CI, DataHub, Allure and Airflow.
• Automate infrastructure and operational tasks using Ansible, as well as scripting with Python, Bash and other languages.
• Work with Docker and Kubernetes environments, including application deployments using Helm.
• Monitor production systems, troubleshoot incidents and improve system performance and reliability.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, working with tools such as GitLab CI and Jenkins.
• Work with OpenStack and AWS infrastructure.
• Support development teams with infrastructure-related issues and their working environments.
• Work closely with the Infrastructure team to troubleshoot issues and coordinate infrastructure changes, including new hardware provisioning.
• Contribute to security practices and PCI DSS requirements.
