About The Position

This role is for a Linguist/Targeter with Mandarin language skills and requires a TS Clearance with SCI Eligibility. The position will initially be based in Reston, requiring 5 days per week of in-office work with flexible onsite hours. Later in the summer, the role will relocate to Fort Belvoir, offering 1 day of remote work and requiring 4 days of onsite support per week. The position involves translating Mandarin to English, understanding Mandarin/Chinese culture, collecting and analyzing data from the public internet, and presenting findings to the government. Technical proficiency in software, databases, web servers, and internet functionality is also essential. The role requires drafting and coordinating data within the sponsor's system and assisting with responses to senior-level tasking.

Requirements

• Fluency in Mandarin (ability to translate Mandarin to English in both written and spoken dialect).
• Familiarity with Mandarin/Chinese culture.
• Technical prowess (understanding of how software, databases, web servers and the internet actually work).
• Read and write Mandarin at a high level and be able to translate from Mandarin to English.
• Experience supporting cyber activities.
• Targeting Experience.
• Ability to utilize an array of targeting tools.
• Experience assimilating and evaluating large amounts of data.
• Strong analytic writing and briefings skills.

Responsibilities

• Translate Mandarin to English in both written and spoken dialect.
• Provide timely, concise, and accurate feedback and analysis to the sponsor.
• Present data and findings as needed.
• Collect data from the public internet and present it to the government.
• Draft and coordinate data and findings in the sponsor system with minimal editing.
• Assist in the preparation of responses to senior-level tasking/requirements.
