About The Position

We are looking for a dependable team member who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of providing excellent service in a hospital environment. The purpose of this role is to provide quality service and products to our customers in a timely and professional manner. The Linen Tech is responsible for filling and moving carts to assigned areas within the hospital, providing a superior level of linen service throughout the hospital in a friendly and timely manner, and meeting quality and safety standards. Clean linen is an essential part of patient care. Every cart prepared and every delivery made helps ensure patients and healthcare teams have the clean, safe linen they need when they need it. This role supports those who provide direct patient care and makes a difference in the patient experience every day.

Requirements

Be able to stand on feet up to 12 hours a day.
Be able to push/pull soil/clean carts weighing up to 800 lbs. (on wheels).
Sufficient manual dexterity to build linen carts.
Must be able to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, and pulling.
Must be able to accurately perform simple mathematics.

Responsibilities

Fill and move carts to assigned areas within the hospital.
Provide a superior level of linen service throughout the hospital in a friendly and timely manner.

Be on time.

Follow directions given by their team lead and supervisor.

Work past the schedule, as transportation issues may arise.
Perform any other duties as manager/supervisor sees fit.
Cross-train in other positions per facility needs.
