About The Position

Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center is seeking a Full-Time Linen Tech (Environmental Services). Required hours are: 4:00AM-12:00PM including every other weekend and holiday. Starting rate $18.50/hr.

Requirements

HS Diploma or GED/Equivalent required.
To provide a safe environment to our patients, we require that all candidates must be able to read, write and speak English.
Must be able to bend/push/pull/lift 50lbs.

Nice To Haves

1-3 years' experience as Linen Tech or relevant area preferred.
Prior experience working in a Health Care Facility, Hospital System or relevant area preferred.

Responsibilities

Washes, dries, irons, and folds linen and uniforms as required.
Inspects and sorts linen as it is received from laundry and records and returns rejects to laundry.
Removes clean linen from laundry carts and places in designated areas.
Loads carts for delivery.
Removes soiled linen from patient floors.
Informs Environmental Services Supervisor on any damaged or missing linen from laundry.
Delivers linens to all user locations.
Sets up charts for housekeeping schedules, and carts daily as needed.
Maintains log for linen closets, documenting unused linen and reporting any apparent discrepancy between established standards and actual usage.
Maintains linen room in a clean and orderly condition.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
