About The Position
This role is responsible for collecting and sorting soiled linens and apparel, stocking and distributing clean linens and apparel while adhering to infection control guidelines, performing daily inventory, identifying items for repair or replacement, washing, drying, and folding linens, and operating laundry equipment. The position also requires maintaining a clean work area and equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Responsibilities
- Collect and sort soiled linens and apparel for assigned areas.
- Stock and distribute clean linens and apparel, adhering to infection control guidelines.
- Perform daily inventory to ensure clean linens and apparel are accurately stocked and distributed.
- Identify items for repair or replacement and notifies management.
- Wash, dry, and/or folds laundered linens and apparel, identifying items for repair or replacement and notifies management.
- Operate all laundry equipment according to operating instructions and departmental policies.
- Maintain work area and equipment in clean, working condition.
