Linen Room Attendant (Part-time)
About The Position
Loews Kansas City Hotel is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Linen Room Attendant to join their team. This role is crucial for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization within the hotel's linen operations. The Linen Room Attendant will be responsible for ensuring that all linens are fresh, perfectly prepared, and readily available for guest use. This position involves close collaboration with the housekeeping team to keep linen rooms stocked and orderly, providing exceptional support to ensure smooth operations. The ideal candidate is a hospitality enthusiast with a keen eye for detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to teamwork and safety.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Previous experience in a laundry role preferred.
- Previous experience in a hotel or resort environment preferred.
- Basic English skills preferred.
- Ability to walk, stand, reach and bend.
- Ability to push, lift, and pull items weighing up to 150lbs repetitively during entire shift.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as required.
Responsibilities
- Maintain linen rooms so they are clean, stocked, and organized according to operational needs.
- Provide daily inventory updates to the Manager and report any shortages or concerns promptly.
- Assist with departmental coverage when needed and attend team meetings to stay aligned.
- Offer accurate information about hotel facilities and services to guests when asked.
- Uphold professional appearance standards and wear the proper uniform at all times.
- Deliver friendly, helpful guest interactions that reflect Loews’ commitment to exceptional service.
- Follow OSHA safety guidelines and departmental procedures for chemical use, protective gear, and emergency protocols.
- Maintain a positive attitude and professional conduct in all interactions.
- Regular attendance in conformance with standards.
- May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs.
- Required to attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
