About The Position

As a Linen Distribution Team Member, you are an important part of supporting the hospital and the patients it serves. This position is responsible for preparing, filling, and moving linen carts to assigned areas throughout the hospital while providing friendly, dependable, and timely service. We are looking for someone who is dependable, works well with others, takes pride in their work, and understands the importance of providing clean linen where it is needed.

Requirements

Stand and/or walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
Push and pull wheeled clean and soiled linen carts weighing up to 800 pounds.
Regularly bend, twist, reach, push, and pull while performing job duties.
Have sufficient manual dexterity to prepare and build linen carts.
Follow written and verbal instructions.
Perform basic mathematics accurately.
Safely perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Report to work on time and maintain dependable attendance.
Prepare, fill, and move linen carts to assigned areas throughout the hospital.
Meet established company and hospital quality and safety standards.
Follow company safety rules, policies, and procedures.
Follow directions provided by the Team Lead, Supervisor, or Manager.
Work respectfully and effectively with team members from diverse backgrounds.
Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
Keep assigned work areas safe, clean, and organized.
Be available to work required overtime or remain beyond the regularly scheduled shift when hospital, transportation, or operational needs require it.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned based on facility and operational needs.
Team members may be cross-trained in other positions or areas based on facility needs. Cross-training helps our team work together and provide consistent service to the hospital.
