About The Position
Perform custodial services to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for Veterans, staff, and visitors. This role is not located in patient care areas.
Requirements
- Must successfully pass a Tier 1 Background Investigation (NACI) and fingerprinting prior to starting work.
- Must wear a standard, neat, and recognizable custodial uniform with appropriate closed-toe safety footwear.
- Complete annual VA Privacy, Information Security, and Bloodborne Pathogen training.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine biohazard remediation within the custodial scope as authorized by the Government.
- Coordinate the removal of trash and recycling to designated outside collection containers.
- Promptly report and clean up spills in accordance with VAPORHCS environmental regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness in non-direct patient care areas, ensuring all surfaces are free of pathogens and debris.
