The Class B Lineman Transmission is a semi-skilled position in the construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical transmission systems. This position works at various locations and may be required to travel to another state depending on customer demands. The role involves working safely on new construction, maintenance, or repair of energized and de-energized transmission systems, including stringing overhead wire, setting poles and anchors, and troubleshooting transmission system problems. This position frequently works with energized high voltage systems, requiring skill and care to protect oneself and others. The Lineman is responsible for maintaining company vehicles, equipment, and tools in good working order and performing other related duties as required.
