Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Completed a Registered Journeyman Lineman Apprenticeship Program or an equivalent training program (as approved by APS T&D Technical & Safety Training) PLUS one year experience as a Journeyman Lineman.
- Possess a valid manual transmission Commercial Driver’s License (Class “A”) with ability to meet all DOT requirements.
- Must live within a one (1) hour reasonable distance of headquarters.
- Must pass written and hands-on exam and successfully demonstrate climbing skills.
Responsibilities
- Work on all types of distribution lines including 4kv to 21kv and all related equipment.
- Perform work requiring climbing skills.
- Operate aerial equipment with weight restrictions of 300 pounds or less.
- Be subject to callouts.
- Perform reasonable and necessary overtime as required.
