About The Position

This position involves feeding cheese onto a production line for wrapping and packaging, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, SQF, and safety regulations. Responsibilities include setting up and operating scales, packing cheese products into boxes, stacking boxes on pallets, and inspecting packages. The role also requires understanding and utilizing box erecting, case sealing, and labeling equipment, as well as performing sanitation duties for the work area and equipment. This job posting provides an overview and does not cover all expectations; duties may be modified. Normal operations are Monday through Friday, with a Monday night start for the third shift. Saturday work may be required depending on production and staffing needs, typically in six-hour shifts. Overtime pay applies for work exceeding 8 hours in a day or 40 hours in a week.

Requirements

• Ability to lift 25 pounds frequently and 45 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Education beyond High School would be a plus.
• Forklift experience is desirable.
• Prior manufacturing and/or packaging experience would also be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Feed cheese onto state of the art production line for wrapping and packaging.
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, SQF and established safety rules and regulations.
• Set-up scales, operate scales to weigh product for packaging.
• Pack cheese product into boxes, stack boxes on pallets and inspect packages and boxes or good seals and code dates.
• Understand and utilize box erecting, case sealing, and labeling equipment.
• Perform sanitation of the work area and equipment as needed.
