About The Position

Inspects, grades, and packages products using both hands to maintain an even production flow according to marketing specifications on a rotation basis on the production line's conveyor system. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to estimate product weight visually, verify count, and handle products to determine grade and identify substandard items. Rejected products and individual grades are placed in designated areas. The position also involves adding supplemental product to meet specifications, reporting breakdowns to the line operator, and notifying the Supervisor of any mechanical or material issues. The Line Worker will assemble products according to customer specifications, inspect and insert products at various positions along the line, and discard poor quality items. Maintaining a safe and clean work area, adhering to company policies, safety standards, and good manufacturing practices is essential. The role requires wearing provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and following all plant food safety and personal safety rules and procedures. Other duties and assignments may be required. A significant aspect of the role involves observing products moving quickly on a conveyor system for extended periods (up to 3 1/2 hours at one time). This role will require extended hours based on production needs, including work performed after regular business hours and on weekends.

Requirements

  • MUST BE 18YRS OLD TO WORK FOR MONOGRAM APPETIZERS
  • Ability to understand and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, round, compute averages and percentages, and interpret bar graphs.
  • The employee is required to walk, stand, use hands, fingers, and arms to handle, feel and reach.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Estimate weight of product visually.
  • Verify count, look at, handle product, as required by its nature, to determine grade and identify substandard products.
  • Place rejected products and individual grades of products in designated piles, containers, or areas.
  • Add supplemental product to bring original product into specifications.
  • Reports major breakdowns or problems to the line operator.
  • Notify Supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
  • Assemble product according to customer specification.
  • Inspect and insert product at various positions along the line and discard poor product.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area.
  • Maintain adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good manufacturing practices.
  • Must wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as provide.
  • Must follow all plant food safety and person safety rules and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and assignments as required.
  • Observe products moving quickly on a conveyor system for up to 3 1/2 hours at one time.
