The Line Technician will perform various functions in production to ensure the production line is running efficiently. This role involves making controlled adjustments to equipment to optimize running efficiency, aggressively addressing equipment problems to minimize downtime, and identifying and resolving line "bottlenecks." The technician is responsible for generating work orders for process improvements and corrective maintenance, maintaining operational documentation, and operating equipment in accordance with Hood standards. Upholding quality, safety, and cleanliness standards within the designated area, ensuring all required maintenance is performed, and communicating with other team members for efficient plant operations are key aspects of this role. The Line Technician must ensure all resources are available for production runs and prepare the oncoming shift for a successful run, performing any duties necessary to support the team. This includes obtaining information from pre-shift team meetings and the off-going Line Technician, vigilantly monitoring equipment for potential problems and improvements, and demonstrating strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others. The role requires the ability to multi-task and work independently, with various tasks involving responsibility for the food safety and quality of company products.
