About The Position

Chinchor Electric, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Line Technician for a full-service medium/heavy duty fleet truck and equipment maintenance shop. Chinchor Electric, Inc. is family owned and operated and has been in business for 40 years. We are a Commercial and Industrial Electrical contractor, performing Heavy Industrial Electrical, Highway Lighting, Traffic Signalization projects, and much more. We work with both corporate clients and government entities and maintain yearly contracts with Orange, Seminole, Osceola, and Volusia counties, as well as the Florida Department of Transportation. We are proud to share that we have opened a second location in St. Augustine, Florida to serve Jacksonville and the surrounding areas. Requirements

5+ years of mechanic experience
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Proficient with Ford FDRS, IDS diagnostics
Personally maintained tools up to 1/2" drive
Excellent verbal and written communication
Proficiency in navigating computer operating systems and standard business software
High level of integrity, able to work independently and with others

Nice To Haves

Welding experience
CDL A Driver’s License

Responsibilities

Chassis inspection, basic engine, transmission, brake, tire, suspension service with high level understanding of 12V DC electrical
Emissions diagnosis and repair
Document all services and repairs performed.
Generate and complete work orders and with detail- oriented documentation daily.
Willingness to gain knowledge and experience through provided training, safe work practices and habits.
Must be able to make independent decisions.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
