About The Position

The Fill Room Line Set Up Mechanic is responsible for setting up the product line for the fill room. This includes hooking up totes to pumps, setting up machinery such as marble droppers, fill heads, crimpers, and propellant gassing heads relevant to the day's production run. The role also involves assisting with washouts of the product line to prepare for new product runs.

Requirements

• Solid knowledge of manufacturing equipment operation.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience working in a production environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete set up of line: Marble Dropper, Fill Heads, Fill Weights, Valve Dropper and Locators, Crimpers, Gassing Station, Can Rails.
• Ensure washouts are done correctly and in a timely manner, including proper filter installation, verification of can specifications, thorough line washout to remove old product, and proper labeling and storage of washout product waste.
• During operation, check and maintain fill weights, inspect crimpers for proper operation, verify correct valves are being used, monitor and correct gas weights, ensure the marble dropper hopper remains half full, and perform visual checks on all grounds including the gashouse.
