4KD - LINE SERVICE/HANGAR VALET
About The Position
This role is responsible for a variety of duties related to aircraft servicing and hangar maintenance. Key responsibilities include marshalling and parking aircraft, towing, wing walking, and operating ground support equipment. The position also involves ensuring aircraft are secured, assisting with fueling, cleaning aircraft interiors and exteriors, servicing lavatories and water, and loading/unloading baggage. Additionally, the role requires assisting passengers and drivers, purchasing and managing aircraft stock, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the hangar and grounds. The individual will also be responsible for maintaining and cleaning ground equipment, as well as scheduling and maintaining ground equipment and the hangar. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.
Requirements
- Must have aircraft towing experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Pass a background, drug and alcohol test
- Must be able to work flexible hours including overtime and weekends when required
- Lifting baggage from ground level to waist and overhead while loading and unloading aircraft, up to 75 pounds
- Able to work without direct management supervision. Must be self-motivated.
- Able to make decisions and prioritize with multiple objectives and implement in a safe, efficient manner
- Standing and walking for extended periods of time
Responsibilities
- Marshal/park aircraft
- Aircraft towing/wing walking
- Operate ground support equipment
- Insure aircraft are chocked, locked and secured
- Assist with aircraft fueling
- Clean and/or detail exterior and interior of aircraft
- Service aircraft lavatory and portable water
- Assist pilots with pre and post flight services
- Load and unload baggage
- Assist passengers and drivers on ramp area
- Purchase stock (snack and drinks) for aircrafts, rotate out of date stock-out of aircrafts
- Clean and organize hangar/hangar floor
- Clean offices and bathrooms
- Maintain/clean ground equipment
- Schedule/maintain ground equipment and hangar
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned by the Chief Pilot or higher authority
