About The Position

The Line Packer performs entry-level general labor under immediate direction, maintains a safe work environment, and follows established policies and procedures. Work includes manual labor such as loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials, as well as assisting with line setup and operation in a food manufacturing facility. The role is an individual contributor with no direct reports.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at machine speed.
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products.
• Ability to understand written English is preferred.
• 0–1 years of experience in a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setting up production lines and work areas according to established procedures and specifications.
• Verify equipment setup and operation to achieve desired results.
• Inspect products periodically during the shift to ensure specifications are met.
• Assist the operator with troubleshooting equipment when necessary.
• Perform operator job functions when the operator is absent.
• Contact management for support when problems arise and communicate issues to management.
• Keep the work area clean.
• Follow safety lockout/tag-out procedures and other applicable safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.
• Follow instructions and assist others as needed.
• Understand and follow GMPs, and instruct others on them.
• Work safely and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
