About The Position
IPEX is one of North America's leading providers of advanced plastic piping systems. The company is seeking a Line Operator for its Extrusion plant in Kingman, AZ. This role involves operating extrusion machines and related equipment for fittings production, with a focus on safety, product quality, production output, housekeeping, and cost control. Rotating day and night shifts are available.
Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Completion of high school education or equivalent.
- Ability to use basic hand tools.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Must complete a background check and drug screening.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe work environment through training, adherence to policies, and housekeeping.
- Perform inspection activities using a PI table, micrometer, and ovality gauges.
- Ensure efficiency in the inspection and quality process, including skin testing and impact testing.
- Detect and assist in resolving product quality issues.
- Investigate any product deemed non-conforming.
- Adjust the extrusion process, including wall thickness, barrel and die temperatures, and diameter adjustments.
- Maintain the line, including cleaning vents.
- Collaborate and assist with production material trials and new products.
- Monitor and maintain output and run conditions to specified standards.
- Complete accurate documentation and quality requirements.
- Perform other duties as delegated.
