Line Operator 2nd shift
About The Position
The Line Operator operates the injection machine line efficiently and accurately, inspects and packages manufactured products according to customer requirements, and helps ensure production goals are met. The role is based at Orotex’s Novi, Michigan facility and works the second shift, Monday through Friday, from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The facility is temperature controlled. Personal protective equipment includes safety glasses at all times, safety gloves, non-slip work shoes, and ear plugs as necessary. The position has no direct reports. Employment offers are contingent on satisfactory completion of a drug screen, background check, and physical.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to understand spoken and written English.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, and walk for more than 8 hours daily.
- Ability to use both hands, wrists, and arms with continual motion.
- Ability to push, pull, grasp, and reach objects.
- Ability to lift more than 50 pounds repeatedly.
Nice To Haves
- One year of previous plant experience preferred.
- Previous knowledge of injection molding preferred.
Responsibilities
- Inspect parts for defects, including shorts and flash.
- Package products according to customer requirements and packing specifications.
- Operate injection machines to produce products.
- Ensure production goals are met.
- Follow all work instructions carefully.
- Complete daily production and quality reports.
- Accurately label completed parts.
- Maintain a clean working environment.
- Follow Orotex policies and safety rules.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
