About The Position

The Wrapper Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining wrapper equipment and related production machinery to support the efficient production of quality products. This position ensures equipment is operating safely and efficiently while maintaining compliance with Tyson Foods' safety, food safety, quality, and operational standards.

Requirements

Six (6) months of experience operating production machinery in a manufacturing environment.
Must have six (6) months of work history within the past twelve (12) months.
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
Ability to walk and stand for up to 12 hours per day.
Ability to work in temperatures ranging from approximately 30°F to 100°F.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, troubleshoot, adjust, and tear down equipment required to run assigned products while maintaining production-ready equipment conditions.
Maintain proper operating speeds to maximize efficiency, minimize downtime, and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production goals.
Monitor, understand, and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support operational performance.
Work collaboratively with the Line Coordinator and production team to ensure efficient line operation and product flow.
Perform necessary machine adjustments and minor repairs to maintain product quality, appearance, and production standards.
Train and support other operators on equipment operation, safety procedures, and standard work practices as needed.
Maintain a clean work area and adhere to 6S, GMP, food safety, quality, and Tyson Foods policies and procedures.
Work safely and effectively in a food manufacturing environment while meeting quality, safety, and attendance expectations.
Communicate effectively with team members and leadership to promote a teamwork-oriented work environment.
Produce quality products at an efficient rate while following written and verbal instructions.
