About The Position

The Line Leader is responsible for training associates to standardized work and monitoring compliance. This role ensures correct documentation and tools are present, and that cell start-up checks and documentation are completed. The Line Leader inspects the first piece to release production, ensures the cell is meeting hourly productivity rates, and that all defects and scrap are documented and disposed of correctly. This position stops the line if abnormalities are found and determines if standardized work is clear to allow associates to find abnormalities. The Line Leader is responsible for rework by analyzing the defect first and performing the repair as soon as possible, and supports line associates when a problem occurs. This role communicates with other shifts, exchanges information during shift change, and interacts with peers, the shift supervisor, and provides continuous direction to cell associates. The Line Leader follows 5S, ensures cleanliness and cell preparation for runs, and empties designated bins at the end of the shift. They attend 5S audits, plan 5S workshops in the area, and facilitate the implementation of resulting action plans. This role updates and posts required paperwork, charts, and graphs, and communicates with the Supervisor, recommending continuous improvement activities. The Line Leader also audits and maintains TPM, ensuring the sustainable implementation of the TPM concept and tracking action plans from TPM workshops and audits.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• 1 ~ 3 yrs. Manufacturing Experience
• Working Knowledge of Production Basics
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing Practices and 5S
• Working knowledge of SAP preferred
• MS Office skills

Responsibilities
