About The Position

As we navigate a period of expansion and strategic initiatives, we are seeking a production line leader to join our team and contribute to the company's success. The Line Leader is responsible for overseeing daily production line operations to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are achieved. This role provides direction and support to production team members, coordinates workflow, monitors line performance, and helps resolve operational issues. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, dependable leader, and team-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • 2 years of prior machine operation and lead experience preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn multiple machines
  • Flexibility and adaptability to move between departments and shifts
  • Attention to detail and quality standards
  • Ability to follow safety and food manufacturing procedures
  • Strong attendance and reliability
  • Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time
  • May be required to stoop and or climb as needed
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Operate packaging machinery, set-up coders and labelers
  • Knowledge of GMPs, HAACP, quality and production procedures
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Work with production, maintenance, quality, and sanitation teams as needed
  • Responsible for proper packaging, coding, label placement and pallet configuration applicable to the line
  • Assist in completing the HAACP, quality and production documentation applicable to the line
  • Assist with changeovers between products, packaging, or production runs
  • Follow food safety, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, and sanitation requirements
  • Packages of products with safety and quality standards
  • Fill in for absent operators or assist areas experiencing staffing shortages
  • Support line efficiency and help minimize downtime
  • Monitor and report on food safety issues
  • Continually monitor the facility for security measures and security breeches
  • Communicate effectively with team members
  • Fill in as needed in other areas of the production department as assigned by the supervisor
