Performs the duties of the Inventory Control Specialist and/or other related positions. Check/count inventory to make sure that all materials are always accounted for and that the plant is always well equipped with materials needed to complete customer orders. Conduct daily, month, quarterly, and yearly physical cycle counts to ensure 100% accuracy. Proactively prepares for future or unexpected customer order needs based on sales forecasts and past order histories by keeping materials in stock and preparing production schedules accordingly. Schedules, coordinates, and expedites the delivery of material. Initiates replacement orders for lost, damaged, or incorrect material received. Works extensively with the SAP system to constantly account for inventory. Generates regular reports on inventory turnover, stock levels and other key performance indicators. Oversees and ensures adherence of processes and procedures involving inventory, quality, and safety. Communicates actively with management and assists with reporting. Accurately and honestly documents and records necessary inventory information. Trains new hires and provides leadership, direction, and coaching to direct reports. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to inventory control. Ensures compliance to any and all Federal, State, Company or other regulatory agency requirements, laws and standards. Notifies management to report operational needs or issues. Follows safety guidelines at all times. Other duties, as assigned.
