This Line Lead position is responsible for overseeing daily production operations to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and schedule adherence. The role involves managing production area start-ups, shutdowns, line changeovers, and material verification, while maintaining continuous output and accurate documentation. The Line Lead directs and supports production team members, provides backup coverage, and ensures compliance with work orders, SOPs, quality standards, and safety requirements. Additional duties include routine quality checks, data entry in Syspro, performance tracking, training and coaching operators, enforcing safety policies, and maintaining a clean, organized, 5S-compliant manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Good listening and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to effectively drive production team to meet standards
1-3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting
Ability to read and write basic English

Syspro experience a plus
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

Lead daily production operations to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and schedule adherence.
Oversee production area start-ups, shutdowns, line changeovers, and material verification.
Maintain continuous output and accurate documentation.
Direct and support production team members.
Provide backup coverage during breaks or absences.
Ensure compliance with work orders, SOPs, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Perform routine quality checks.
Enter data into Syspro for job closure and pallet placard printing.
Track performance and train/coach operators.
Enforce safety policies.
Maintain a clean, organized, and 5S-compliant manufacturing environment.
Lead by example and coordinate daily activities of production team members.
Lead line startups and changeovers on the shop floor.
Serve as backup for production associates and line operators during breaks or absences.
Train, coach, and cross-train machine operators and team members on equipment operations, material handling, gauging, documentation, and safety requirements.
Perform routine quality checks including visual inspections, audits, and documentation reviews.
Enforce safety policies, OSHA requirements, and promote a strong safety culture.
Motivate, engage, and support team members while providing coverage for breaks and lunches when necessary.
