About The Position

The Line Lead Filler Operator is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the production line. This includes general housekeeping, equipment maintenance, packaging, and quality control. The role requires the ability to work assigned shifts, including overtime and weekends, and to learn and perform various positions as needed. The operator must adhere to all safety, food safety, environmental, and GMP regulations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic computer knowledge - data
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb stairs, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
  • Ability to work their bid shift, overtime, and weekends as required

Responsibilities

  • Perform general housekeeping, clean up, sweeping, vacuuming, painting, and lubrication.
  • Retrieve samples, perform power washing, and lift/haul items.
  • Dump rework and prepare/package product.
  • Keep lines stocked with packaging materials.
  • Fill out appropriate paperwork related to CCPs, production, and packaging materials.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and repair of packaging equipment.
  • Operate and understand the basic functions of equipment on the line.
  • Operate CIP skids and perform breakdown and cleaning of line components.
  • Communicate with supervisor regarding line downtime, equipment issues, or product supply.
  • Report and resolve any observed quality issues.
  • Properly start up, run, and shut down the line.
  • Properly tear down, clean, and reassemble pumps, sanitary lines, and line equipment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of chemical handling procedures and required PPE.
  • Understand process flow from source tank to filling process.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of pumps, valves, and filter changes.
  • Successfully pass qualification tests for Operator 2 responsibilities.
  • Participate in efficiency and safety improvement teams.
  • Learn and follow written rules and procedures.
  • Produce accurate documentation.
  • Maintain acceptable attendance.
  • Fill in for temporary/permanent vacancies as needed.
  • Comply with all safety, food safety, environmental, GMP rules, regulations, and policies.
