About The Position

The Line Lead Filler Operator candidates must be able to perform a variety of jobs, tasks, or duties as required; and must be able to work their bid shift, overtime, and weekends as required. This role involves general housekeeping, clean up, sweeping, vacuuming, painting, lubrication, sample retrieval, power washing, lifting and hauling items, dumping rework, operating a motorized forklift, preparing and packaging product, and other duties as assigned. The position requires keeping lines stocked with packaging materials, filling out appropriate production and packaging material documentation, basic troubleshooting and repair of packaging equipment, and understanding the basic operation of equipment on the line. Responsibilities also include operating CIP skids, breakdown and cleaning of line components, communicating with supervisors about line status and equipment needs, reporting and resolving quality issues, and performing proper start up, running, shut down, tear down, cleaning, and reassembling of pumps, sanitary lines, and line equipment. The role requires knowledge of chemical handling procedures, including required PPE, and understanding process flow from source tank to filling. A basic understanding of pumps, valves, and filter changes is necessary. The operator must successfully pass a qualification test.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Previous relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Basic computer knowledge - data

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of jobs, tasks, or duties as required.
Work bid shift, overtime, and weekends as required.
General housekeeping, clean up, sweeping, vacuuming, painting, lubrication (oiling, greasing, etc.).
Sample retrieval, power washing, lifting and hauling items and down stairs.
Dump rework.
Operate a motorized fork lift.
Prepare packaging.
Package product.
Keep lines stocked with packaging materials.
Fill out appropriate paper related to the lines CCP’s, production, packaging materials.
Basic troubleshooting and repair of packaging equipment.
Knowledge of basic operation of equipment on the line.
Operation of CIP skids in addition to breakdown and cleaning of line components.
Communicate with supervisor when line is down due to equipment or product supply.
Communicate with supervisor when equipment needs attention.
Report/resolve any observed quality issues while operating line.
Proper start up, running and shut down of line.
Proper tear down, cleaning, and reassembling pumps, sanitary lines, and line equipment.
Knowledge of chemical handling procedures including PPE required.
Knowledge of process flow and ability to trace flow from source tank to filling process.
Basic understanding of pumps, valves, and how to change filters.
Successfully pass qualification test of that Operator 2 is responsible for.
