About The Position

In the role of Line Leader-Batch and Furnace working in Wheat Ridge, CO you will be part of the Rocky Mountain Bottle Company’s Operations. You will lead safety culture initiatives through support and participation. Continually ensuring safe practices and policies are followed by team members. Demonstrating commitment to safety through participation in and support of safety initiatives as identified. Ensuring operation is always conducted in a safe and environmentally friendly manner, identifying and highlighting unsafe work practices and correcting with urgency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience preferred in a leadership role in manufacturing operations.
  • 5-7 years Glass Furnace experience preferred
  • Combustion experience a plus
  • Lean Manufacturing Experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of talented colleagues and support their growth and development through career discussions and consistent one on one conversations
  • Oversee operations and maintenance of the batch house and furnace to drive safe, efficient operation to produce quality glass for beer bottle production
  • Responsible for building a winning team by role modeling Critical Success Factors, WCSC work principles and practices, and leading and ensuring full leverage of all people management processes.
  • Reviews contributions and special efforts to identify examples of “What Good Looks Like” and recognizes that effort, either with individuals or a team.
  • Builds and develops team and team capability. Ensures team has skills and capability to manage day-to-day activities and make sound business decisions.
  • Ensures team has necessary information to make sound business decisions.
  • Follows all performance, talent, and career management processes.
  • Drives performance management practices through one-on-ones for team, technicians, using team performance discussions.
  • Builds effective partnerships across the plant (Batch & Furnace / Conditioning / Forming / Quality / Mold and Machine Repair and Maintenance) and supply chain network.
  • Mentors, supports and coaches team members in the correct execution of their roles and the right behaviors.
  • Supports and participates in structured communications throughout the department and provides feedback to teams participating in the structured communications process to enhance effectiveness.
