About The Position

This role is a full-time position responsible for covering shifts for regular Line Haul Drivers who are out due to vacation or illness. When covering, the driver follows the absent driver's schedule, typically starting around 10:00 PM, and focuses solely on driving duties. When not covering, responsibilities include yard jockeying trucks and trailers. The schedule is Monday - Thursday, 4 days a week, with guaranteed 40 hours and home daily. This position requires a Class A CDL with a Doubles/Triples Endorsement.

Requirements

Class A Commercial Driver's License required
Doubles/Triples Endorsement REQUIRED
1 year of experience
Must be Department of Transportation (DOT) certified
Must be at least 21 years of age

Responsibilities

Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the vehicle.
Adhere to the safe and courteous operation of the delivery vehicle at all times.
Complete all required paperwork daily, including Department of Transportation logbook and driver vehicle inspection report (DVIR).
Report to work in adherence to company uniform standards (e.g., neat, clean, and properly attired).
Adhere to all safety regulations, and perform all duties in a safe manner.
Plan trip logistics and obtain necessary documents to transport goods.
Ensure cargo is secured properly and compliant with safety requirements.
Report any incidents to the dispatcher.
Follow/adhere to all traffic laws.
Maintain vehicle, product, and equipment tidy and in good working order.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Yard jockeying trucks and trailers when not covering.
Deliver products from the Edwardsville, KS distribution center to one of our depot locations then back to Edwardsville.
