About The Position

Ruby Slipper Restaurant Group, with over 20 restaurants across the Southeast operating under the Ruby Slipper and Ruby Sunshine brands, is seeking a Line Cook. This role focuses on preparing hot food products, portioning food before cooking, and ensuring final plate preparation, including plating and garnishing. The restaurant operates as an all-day brunch concept, open only for Breakfast and Lunch, allowing employees to be home in time for dinner.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, and front of house krewe members.
  • Be able to reach, bend stoop, and frequently lift up to 50lbs.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).

Responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently prepare hot food products.
  • Prepare and portion food prior to cooking.
  • Perform duties in food and final plate preparation, including plating and garnishing of cooked items.
  • Prepare appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates.
  • Follow Ruby Standards and recipes consistently.
  • Comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work area.
