YOUR CAREER OPPORTUNITY AT THE DUNES We are currently seeking a Line Cook to join our talented culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play an essential role in preparing and presenting our signature dishes while maintaining our high culinary standards.

Requirements

  • Previous line cooking experience in a high-volume kitchen, preferably in a fine dining or club environment.
  • Strong understanding of cooking techniques, kitchen tools, and food safety standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining quality and consistency.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes according to the specifications set by the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs.
  • Work on a fast-paced line, ensuring food is prepared to order in a timely and consistent manner while maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
  • Prepare and cook menu items to order, ensuring that food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Work efficiently on a designated station (grill, sauté, fry, etc.) during service.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness practices.
  • Assist with the preparation of ingredients for the kitchen, including chopping, dicing, and marinating.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of your station and surrounding areas, ensuring everything is ready for the next order.
  • Communicate effectively with the rest of the kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.
  • Assist with inventory management and reporting low-stock items to the kitchen supervisor or manager.
  • Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and tools.
