About The Position

Iron Tee Golf is seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious meals for our guests. You will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure that all dishes are prepared to our high standards and delivered to our guests in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Familiarity with restaurant standards and hospitality
  • Good communication skills, and experience working with staff on all levels.
  • Ability to stand for hours at a time, including maneuvering up and down stairs.
  • Must be able to lift to 25 pounds at-a-time without assistance.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare food items according to established recipes and venue standards, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
  • Adhere to strict food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients.
  • Use various cooking techniques, such as grilling, frying, sautéing, and baking, to create menu items.
  • Familiarize yourself with the menu, including food items, garnishes, and plating instructions, to ensure accurate preparation.
  • Prioritize and coordinate the preparation of multiple orders to ensure timely service to guests.
  • Keep your cooking station clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary ingredients and utensils.
  • Regularly taste and inspect food items for quality, freshness, and proper seasoning.
  • Maintain effective communication with the kitchen team, including chefs and other line cooks, to ensure smooth service.
  • Ensure accurate portion sizes and presentation for each dish, following venue portion guidelines.
  • Accommodate special dietary requests and allergies as instructed, ensuring safe and appropriate meal preparation.
  • Coordinate with servers and expediters to ensure that food is plated and delivered to guests promptly.
  • Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas regularly and ensure they are properly maintained.
  • Adapt to changes in the menu and new recipes as directed by the kitchen management.
  • Minimize food waste by practicing efficient preparation and storage methods.
  • Follow safety protocols, including the safe use of kitchen equipment and the proper handling of hot surfaces and sharp objects.
  • Monitor and maintain proper cooking temperatures for various food items, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure a well-coordinated and efficient kitchen operation.
