The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes according to restaurant standards, ensuring a clean and organized workspace, and providing patrons with a positive culinary adventure.

Requirements

Prior experience as a line cook in a restaurant setting is a plus
Strong attention to detail and consistency in food preparation
Understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a multicultural and diverse team
Team player and positive attitude
Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 20 + lbs
Excellent communication and multitasking skills
Comply with health and safety codes
Ability to acquire a California Food Handlers license and Sexual Harassment Certification (before or within 30 days of hiring)

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook all menu items in accordance standards set by Executive Chef
Follow restaurant recipes and plating guidelines to ensure consistency and quality
Be a team player and work together with your team to foster a healthy and warm atmosphere
Assist with food prep, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats and making sauces
Ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored and organized
Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to ensure a smooth service period
Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and workstations
Follow safety and health regulations in compliance with restaurant policies
Attend all scheduled employee meetings and fill in for absent staff as needed
