About The Position

McMenamins North Bank Pub is hiring for a Line Cook. McMenamins is a family-owned company in Oregon and Washington that serves handcrafted beverages and pub fare. The company operates a range of locations from neighborhood pubs to historic hotels, emphasizing community, art, history, music, food, drink, and fun. As a line cook, you will be responsible for all kitchen tasks from opening to closing, including the preparation and presentation of hot and cold food items such as salads, sandwiches, pastas, appetizers, pizzas, weekly specials, and sauté/grill items. You will also be responsible for organizing and cleaning your work area. This role requires physical stamina, mental agility, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. You must be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

  • Must obtain and maintain a current food handlers card.
  • Enjoy working in a busy customer service-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous cooking experience is preferred.
  • Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Handle every task from the opening to the closing of the kitchen.
  • Manufacture and presentation of all hot & cold food products.
  • Prepare salads, hot & cold sandwiches, pastas, hot & cold appetizers, pizzas, weekly specials, and sauté & grill items.
  • Organization and cleaning of their work area.
