About The Position

HI Banff Alpine Centre is seeking Line Cooks to work in their fast-casual restaurant. This role involves both back-of-house food preparation and front-of-house customer service, including taking orders, handling payments, and sharing knowledge about Banff. The position is ideal for individuals who enjoy a restaurant environment and can manage high-volume workloads. The role is with a not-for-profit organization that embraces sustainable tourism.

Requirements

Previous commercial kitchen experience is desirable (training will be provided).
Positive energy and humor.
Ability to handle stressful times with a smile when busy.
Interest in learning.
Willingness to be involved in line cooking, serving, bartending, and large catering.
Some front-of-house and extensive back-of-house experience will make a candidate great.
Successful candidates will be subject to comprehensive background checks, including employment verification, reference checks, educational qualifications verification, and criminal record checks where applicable.

Responsibilities

Preparing and cooking meals in a timely, standardized, and professional manner.
Serving customers directly.
Handling payments.
Sharing knowledge of Banff with guests.
Working in both back-of-house and front-of-house capacities.
Potentially sharing tips with co-workers when two people are on duty.
