About The Position

The Clubs at St. James, located in Southport, NC, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Part-Time Line Cook! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management. This is a seasonal position, expected to last 6 months or less.

Requirements

  • 2 years of culinary experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Nice To Haves

  • ServSafe Certified preferred

Responsibilities

  • Learn and maintain standards in food production and quality
  • Expedite orders in a timely manner
  • Practice excellent operational sanitation
  • Execute scheduled banquet functions
  • Maintain a professional relationship with fellow associates
  • Help reduce loss and waste
  • Communicate equipment repair needs with the chef
  • Actively participate in training efforts
  • Incorporate safe work practices in job performance
  • Check and date all deliveries received and report any variances to the chef in charge
  • Verify that all coolers are at the proper temperatures and are cleaned on a daily basis
  • Process inventory requisitions and receive supplies as necessary for quality production
  • Prepare the proper amount of food according to production or forecast sheets and production plans
  • Prepare items in accordance with established recipes for a consistent product
