About The Position

Rowland Heights Baekjeong is seeking a Line Cook for their Rowland Heights, CA location. This role involves preparing a variety of food items, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and ensuring efficient service in a fast-paced environment. The cook will be responsible for setting up stations, preparing dishes to order, and adhering to safe food-handling procedures.

Requirements

• 1+ year(s) of experience in high-paced kitchen environment preferred
• Knowledge in various cooking ingredients preferred
• Familiar with the taste of authentic Korean food preferred
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Proper lifting, pushing and pulling techniques are required.

Responsibilities

• Set up stations and collect all necessary supplies to prepare for service
• Prepare a variety of foods including meat, seafood, vegetables, and cold food items
• Prepare sauces and garnishes for allocated station
• Cover, label, date, and correctly store all food items as per safe food-handling procedures
• Inform chef in advance of likely shortages
• Prepare dishes to order
• Set up sanitizer buckets and towels
• Constantly check the equipment on the line to ensure there are no gas leaks
• Temperature checks of all reach-in and walk-in coolers
• Set up rubber floor mats at station
• Tastings with team members
• Restock reach-in coolers
• Prep lunch boxes for oncoming rushes
• Clean line equipment
• Clean the grill
• Clean the range
• Clean the flat top
• Wipe down rice warmers
• Clean underneath equipment
• Change foiling lining on top of ranges
• Clean sinks of food debris and sanitize
• Disinfect prep area surfaces
• Sweep and mop floors
• Empty and wash sanitizer buckets
• Other duties as assigned
