About The Position

This role is responsible for preparing a variety of food items, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The Line Cook will also contribute to providing excellent guest service and upholding company policies.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Valid California Food Handler required before first day.
  • 2-3 years of experience as a Prep/Line Cook in a full-service, high-volume Food and Beverage environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares guests' food orders with a sense of urgency, including meat, seafood, poultry, vegetable, and cold food items.
  • Weighs and measures ingredients for cooking.
  • Ensures all food items are served at the correct temperature, prepared to specification, and meet line build and plating presentation standards.
  • Stocks and sets up the station by collecting necessary supplies and ingredients for daily business.
  • Prepares and collects garnishes and/or other assigned menu items for the allocated station.
  • Completes all opening, running, and closing duties as assigned.
  • Cleans and sanitizes work stations and returns dirty food preparation utensils to the appropriate areas.
  • Maintains and cleans the kitchen before, after, and during shifts.
  • Covers, dates, and correctly stores all food items according to safe food-handling procedures.
  • Adheres to standards of handling, preparing, serving, and holding food products, including FIFO, Temperature Danger Zone, and cross-contamination.
  • Promotes and provides extraordinary guest service by answering questions, offering information, and providing assistance courteously.
  • Understands and demonstrates proper safety practices and ensures department standards and safety policies are upheld.
  • Monitors and maintains a safe and secure environment for team members and guests, following all company guidelines and protocols.
  • Identifies, de-escalates, and resolves conflicts or disturbances professionally and effectively.
  • Provides a positive and welcoming experience for guests while maintaining composure during difficult interactions.
  • Maintains a high level of trust and integrity to promote a safe, secure, and welcoming environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
