Dialog Café is a family-owned cafe in the heart of West Hollywood, serving our community with high-quality coffee, pastries, and food. We’re looking for a Line Cook to join our team who shares our core values, takes pride in preparing great food, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The ideal candidate is self-driven, reliable, team-oriented, and passionate about consistency and quality. Prior professional kitchen experience is required.

Requirements

Prior professional kitchen experience required.
Strong understanding of professional kitchen operations and food preparation.
Ability to maintain consistency and quality during high-volume service.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
Excellent attention to detail.
Willingness to learn new techniques, recipes, and responsibilities.
Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic.
Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of California ingredients and seasonal produce is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Execute all menu items consistently, ensuring proper temperature, quality, portioning, and presentation.
Maintain efficient ticket times while working calmly and accurately under pressure.
Set up, organize, and maintain your station throughout service.
Properly close and reset your station in an efficient and timely manner.
Communicate clearly with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff.
Work collaboratively as part of a team to maintain smooth service.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Conduct yourself professionally at all times.
Be flexible and willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
Lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
