About The Position

Esplanade at St Marys in St Marys, Georgia, is hiring a full-time Line Cook. The role assists the Chef/Kitchen Manager with food preparation for all food outlets on the property, along with related kitchen sanitation and cleanliness tasks. The Line Cook must follow procedural guidelines established by the Food Service and Safety Department. Compensation is $20.00 per hour. A $500 sign-on bonus is payable after successful completion of 60 days of continuous employment.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of cooking experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience managing and upholding safe working conditions.
• Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food-handling procedures.
• Dependability.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to take direction.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the quality of products served.
• Assist the Chef/Kitchen Manager with setting up and preparing food items for all food outlets on the property.
• Follow standard recipes carefully when preparing assigned items.
• Assist the Chef/Kitchen Manager with monthly food and supplies inventory.
• Properly use and maintain kitchen equipment.
• Perform cleanup and sanitation maintenance for food preparation and storage facilities as directed by the Chef/Kitchen Manager.
• Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glassware, tableware, and other cooking utensils.
• Carry clean dishes to the cook's line and other appropriate storage areas.
• Help distribute food and supplies throughout the food outlets.
• Clean food production, holding, and serving equipment as needed.
• Assist with receiving and storing products.
• Comply fully with Department of Health regulations.
• Perform other duties assigned by a supervisor or manager.
