About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Line Cook to join our team at The Madison Senior Living in Kansas City, Missouri. This is a part-time position with a starting wage range of $20.00-$22.00 per hour. The shift schedule is Sunday - Tuesday from 7:30 am to 6 pm. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing all menu items according to established standards and recipes, ensuring exceptional quality food that is attractively presented in a timely fashion. You will also ensure health protocols are always followed, including proper hygiene, sanitary food preparation, and proper food temperatures. Additionally, you will familiarize yourself with the residents and their preferences and needs, and participate in resident orientations.

Requirements

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with our Residents.
Possess a current Food Handlers Card as specified per the Department of Health.
Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and competency in the areas of leadership, training, and supervision.
Proficient written and oral communication skills with other members of management, professional, and support staff.
Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
Must be comfortable being in close contact with extreme temperatures, including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers.
Ability to work primarily indoors, but also be available to work outside for events.
Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Familiarizing yourself with the residents and their preferences and needs.
