About The Position

The Chili's Line Cook prepares food following all Chili's Grill & Bar specifications and company safety and sanitation procedures. You will report to the Chilis General Manager. This is a part-time position with variable days and shifts weekly. Earned Wage Access is an option for this position.

Requirements

  • Ability to stand/walk 100% of the shift.
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and wipe frequently.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 70lbs, up to 20 times per shift; place these items on high shelves and in walk-in cooler or freezer.
  • Willingness to work in a frequently damp, hot work environment.
  • Ability to use knives and utensils.
  • Ability to use slicers or other kitchen machinery.
  • Ability to hold items for extended periods of time, bearing weight up to 5lbs.
  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare a variety of food with diverse methods of preparation, following specific product prep and handling procedures and plate presentation.
  • Prepare food following all Chili's Grill & Bar specifications and maintain a high-quality product.
  • Maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
  • Clean and sanitize throughout the shift.
  • Keep prepared food flowing out of the kitchen.
  • Communicate ticket times and potential problems with the QA, manager, and servers.
  • Complete assigned prep work to stock and set up stations.
  • Break down and clean stations or work area at the end of the shift.
  • Ensure rotation of all products and stock products.
  • Perform shift change and opening and closing responsibilities.
  • Follow all company safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Assist other Team Members when needs dictate.
  • Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.
