About The Position

Join the Culinary Team at Monarch Landing! Monarch Landing is Naperville’s premier Life Plan Community, driven by purpose to deliver exceptional care and a vibrant lifestyle for the seniors they serve. The Line Cook will play a key role in contributing to customer satisfaction by preparing food for service and cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff. The successful candidate will ensure food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion.

Requirements

• Proven cooking experience
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
• Must successfully complete a background screening prior to employment

Nice To Haves

• Experience cooking in a healthcare, skilled nursing, or senior living setting

Responsibilities

• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion
