About The Position

McMenamins Anderson School is hiring for a Line Cook. McMenamins is a family-owned company in Oregon and Washington that serves handcrafted beverages and pub fare. As a line cook, you will be responsible for all kitchen tasks from opening to closing, including the preparation and presentation of hot and cold food items such as salads, sandwiches, pastas, appetizers, pizzas, weekly specials, and sauté and grill items. You will also be responsible for organizing and cleaning your work area. This role requires mental agility, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team. All employees are expected to perform their jobs safely, report safety concerns, and stay informed about company events, history, and products. Other duties may be assigned by the Manager on Duty.

Requirements

• Obtain and maintain a current food handlers card
• Enjoy working in a busy customer service-oriented environment

Nice To Haves

• Previous cooking experience is preferred
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays preferred

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and presentation of all hot & cold food products, including salads, hot & cold sandwiches, pastas, hot & cold appetizers, pizzas, weekly specials, and sauté & grill items.
• Organization and cleaning of the work area.
• Perform job in a safe manner and report any safety concerns to Management.
• Keep current on company events, history, and products.
• Other duties as assigned by the Manager on Duty (MOD).
